Official: The Doctor is turning red

As everyone probably knows by now, it's official that Valentino Rossi will be joining Ducati for next year's MotoGP season.  The papers here in Italy are going nuts, calling it "a victory for all of Italia." 

There's no doubting it'll be fantastic for Ducati's development of their bike, an interesting twist in the competitive landscape, and overall tremendous for the sport.  With Spies on a factory bike, Stoner on the Honda, and Rossi on the duke, I dare say 2011 will be the best year of MotoGP yet.  Be excited!!!

I do hope, however, that Rossi ditches the fluorescent yellow.  Not good to have a bike that is visually reminiscent of McDonald's.....
